Southold Woman Hospitalized After Crashing Into Tree
The car caught on fire after the accident, police say.

A Southold woman was hospitalized after crashing into a tree in Southold on Wednesday evening, according to Southold Town Police.
Heather Moisa, 37, was traveling westbound on Route 48 when she lost control of her car and hit a tree, police said.
The car caught on fire but was extinguished by Southold Police Officer John Hinton, according to police.

Moisa was transferred to Stony Brook Hospital via Suffolk County aviation with non life-threatening injures, police said.
