Stony Brook Southampton Opens North Fork Massage Therapy Center

The satellite location provides massages such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, cranial sacral, reiki, medical, prenatal, and more.

GREENPORT, NY — The Ed & Phyllis Davis Wellness Institute at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital has marked its 10th anniversary by expanding beyond Southampton and Hampton Bays locations and opening a North Fork extension specializing in massage therapy.

The new center is located at 300 Atlantic Avenue in Greenport, directly across from Eastern Long Island Hospital, a release from Stony Brook Southampton Hospital said.

The satellite location provides Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, cranial sacral, reiki, manual lymphatic drainage, medical, prenatal, and infant massages with licensed massage therapists, the release said.

The rate for 30 minutes is $55 and $90 for 60 minutes with discounts for seniors. Appointments are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays by calling 631-726-8800.

The Ed & Phyllis Davis Wellness Institute provides programs, workshops, classes, and services in support of the Institute’s mission to deliver education and resources on how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle and overall wellbeing, the hospital said.

Since opening in 2009, the Institute has offered choices including functional medicine, massage therapy, acupuncture, nutrition counseling — such as plant-base, weight loss, and diabetes management — hypnosis for weight-loss and smoking cessation, yoga, physical therapy, fitness classes, and “Healthy At Any Age” senior wellness activities; as well as programs through the Parkinson Disease Center, among many other initiatives, the release said.
