MATTITUCK, NY — Students at Mattituck Junior/Senior High School teamed up for a popular annual fundraiser recently aimed at supporting Students Against Drunk Driving.

The "Tucker Bowl" has an annual tradition in the district since 2010, officials said.

The event is organized "to inspire a greater sense of school spirit as well as to help fund the leadership and awareness, and prevention programs" provided by the high school’s SADD Club for the entire school district, a release said.

During the event, the stands were filled with families and junior high students cheering on their favorite classes.

In addition, the Booster Club provided a concession stand and junior Victoria Witczak donated blue and yellow balloons for the event.

While everyone was given a nod just for participating, the district said, this year, the Tucker Bowl was proudly won by the senior class of 2022 followed by the junior Class of 2023.
