NEW SUFFOLK, NY — Mother Nature smiled Saturday as a crowd turned out to enjoy the 10th Annual New Suffolk Chowderfest under sunny blues skies, beside the sparkling waterfront.

The 10th Annual New Suffolk Chowderfest has become a beloved tradition on the Peconic Bay, an event celebrates the area's maritime heritage and shellfish bounty.

The family event featured a variety of locally prepared chowders, a full BBQ lunch, kids activities — including face-painting, clamshell art and other fun — live music by Who Are Those Guys, and raffle prizes. An array of perennial plants were also available for purchase.
