Thief Stole Forklift From Farm: Cops

Someone stole a forklift, chainsaw, and other equipment from a local farm, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — The search is on for whoever stole a forklift and other equipment from a local farm.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to find whoever stole a Datsun forklift, Husqvarna chainsaw, two Northstar pressure washers, a Schumacher battery charger, three Schumacher jump packs and a Remington pole saw from Anderson Farms, located at 375 Middle Road in Riverhead, sometime overnight between Aug. 11 and 12, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and a message to “CRIMES” (274637) or emailing www.tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential.
