Three Teens Hospitalized After Southold Crash

The 18-year-old driver crashed into the bushes and hit parked cars early Thursday, police say.

Three teens were hospitalized after a car accident in Southold early Thursday morning, according to Southold Town Police.

Kendra King, 18, of Greenport, was driving north on Hortons Lane at 1:12 a.m., police said.

She didn’t realize the road curved and drove off the roadway, crashing into the bushes and hitting parked cars belonging to Brian Wolfe, 27, of Southold, according to police.

Ashley Payne, 16, of Greenport, and Philip Smith, 17, of Riverhead, were passengers in King’s car, police said.

King, Payne and Smith were all transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital by the Southold Fire Department for minor injuries, police said.
