Trespasser Living On Boat Caught With Stolen Cell Phone: Cops

SOUTHOLD, NY —A teen who was caught trespassing in —and actually living on— a boat was also found with stolen property, police said,
According to Southold Town Police, Milton Santos Cuellar, 17, was arrested on Thursday at 1:25 a.m. on Route 25 in Southold and charged third degree criminal trespass, fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
After officers checked a boat that a person was reportedly trespassing in and living on, Santos-Cuellar was located inside the vessel, which was stored on land, police said.

When advised he was under arrest, Santos-Cuellar resisted with officers at the scene and had to be forcefully taken into custody, police said.
Inside the boat, a bag of marijuana was located, along with a cell phone that had been reported stolen from a prior burglary, police said.

Santos-Cuellar was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and processed, police said.
