Two Good Samaritans Rescue Man From Long Island Sound
The man was hanging off his boat in the water outside a Greenport restaurant.

Two good Samaritans rescued a man from the Long Island Sound on Monday afternoon, according to Southold Town Police.
Police received a report of an overturned dinghy boat 200 feet outside of the Soundview restaurant in Greenport with a person in the water, police said.
Town of Southold Police, bay constables and the Greenport Fire Department all responded.

Upon arrival, Arman Komurcuoglu, 69, of Canada, was found hanging on to side of his boat in the water, police said.
Two good Samaritans Helen Bashian, 51, and Virej Copuroglullari, 57, both of Greenport, each rowed from shore with their kayaks and towed Komurcuoglu and his boat into shore, police said.

Greenport Fire Department Rescue responded, treated and released Komurcuoglu.
