Voter's Guide: Mattituck-Cutchogue School Budget, Board Election
What you need to know for the election on May 19.

Mattituck-Cutchogue residents will vote on their school district’s proposed budget of $40,284,062 for the 2015-16 school year on Tuesday, May 19.
This will increase spending by $159,176 or 4% and represents an estimated tax rate increase for Southold Town of 1.68%.
Three candidates are running unopposed for the three open seats on the Mattituck-Cutchogue School Board.

Incumbents Doug Cooper and Laura Jens-Smith are running for re-election while newcomer Barbara Wheaton will be running for the seat left open by Sarah Hassildine.
The elected candidates will serve a three year term from July 1, 2015 until June 30, 2018.

Voting will take place on May 19 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mattituck High School Gymnasium located at 15125 Main Road in Mattituck.
