'Wall Of Honor' Honors Military Heroes At Mattituck High School
One of those honored was Michael DiSilvio, a military combat veteran whose service dog, Gigi, has been missing since July.

MATTITUCK, NY — Once again, the community gathered to carry on a heartfelt tradition last week and honor military heroes at the Mattituck-Cutchogue School District's annual Wall of Honor ceremony.
During this year's seventh annual induction ceremony, held at Mattituck Jr.-Sr. High School, 14 Mattituck alumni and one faculty member were inducted, raising the total number of honorees to 159.

"The Wall of Honor serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve in the military," the district said. "It also allows the district to thank the alumni for their service and it ensures that these alumni will serve as role models for students."
