Watermelon Festival Set To Delight On North Fork

Bring the family for watermelon eating challenges, seed spitting contests, watermelon rolling and more!

RIVERHEAD, NY – Nothing says summer like the sweet taste of watermelon — and this weekend, the Harbes Farm & Vineyard’s Annual Watermelon Festival is set to delight.

The festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Included in the fun are free, fun-filled watermelon eating contests for all ages, with three contests daily in the courtyard area. Also on the agenda are games for kids, with watermelon rolling races and seed spitting challenges.

Visitors can also enjoy free live music in the courtyard/picnic area from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with singer/songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist Rob Bruey playing Saturday; the Como Brothers return on Sunday.
