Fred Thiele Wins NY's First Assembly District Race
Incumbent New York State Assemblyman Fred Thiele has won the race to retain his seat.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Incumbent New York State Assemblyman Fred Thiele, a Democrat, has won his bid for re-election over Patrick O'Connor, a Republican, in the New York State 1st Assembly District.
Thiele took the race over O'Connor by a margin of 27,115 to 18,213, according to an unofficial tally by the Suffolk County Board of Elections.
