Woman Charged With Felony DWI After Hitting Parked Car Outside of Tavern: Police

The New Suffolk woman, 26, was also convicted of DWI in 2012, police said.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A New Suffolk woman is facing a felony DWI charge after she crashed into a parked car outside of a tavern Saturday night, police said.

According to Southold Town police, Rebecca Neese, 26, of New Suffolk was arrested on Saturday at 10:14 p.m. at 55500 Route 25, or Founders Tavern, at 10:14 p.m. after driving a 2013 Cadillac on Route 25 and striking a parked car outside the establishment.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated; a records check revealed that Neese was previously convicted of DWI in 2012, which resulted in the charge being upgraded to a felony, police said.

She was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment, police said.
