Woman Charged In Relation To 'Threatening Communications': Police

The Cutchogue woman was arrested by Shelter Island Police on Thursday, police said.

SHELTER ISLAND, NY — A Cutchogue woman was arrested and charged in relation to an investigation into "threatening communications," police said.

According to Shelter Island Police, Chekechea C. Green, 39, was arrested on Thursday at 4 p.m. and charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated harassment. She was held overnight and arraigned before Shelter Island Justice Court, where she was released on her own recognizance, police said.

An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and the victim's family, police said.
