Woman Nabbed Driving 'Erratically' On Drugs: Cops

The Calverton woman was arrested in Southold early Saturday morning, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Calverton woman was caught driving "erratically" on drugs in Southold, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Kimberly A. Fleischman, 38, was arrested on Saturday at 7:21 a.m. on Route 48 and Hortons Lane and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a felony, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

While investigating a report of someone in a black PT Cruiser driving erratically in the area near town beach the vehicle was located and stopped, police said.

Fleischman was found to be driving the vehicle and an investigation found that she was not authorized by the owner to be operating it; she was also found to be impaired by drugs and placed under arrest, police said.

Fleischman was transported to Southold Police headquarters to be processed and held to await arraignment at Southold Justice Court, police said.
