Worker Threatened With Rifle, Told 'I Will Kill You': Cops

The worker says he was threatened by a man with a rifle for driving too fast and told, "I will kill you," police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — An argument in Cutchogue Tuesday led to a worker being threatened with a rifle and told, "I will kill you," police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Thomas Foster, 44, of Cutchogue, was arrested at 4:11 p.m. on Schoolhouse Road in Cutchogue and charged with second degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

A 31-year old Brentwood man said Foster displayed a gun during an argument at the location; he said he was confronted by two men for driving too fast in the area while he was at work, police said.

An investigation indicated that Foster was the man who confronted the worker and later pulled a rifle from his vehicle, stating, "I will kill you," police said.

Foster was located in a nearby development and placed under arrest, police said.
