Wrong Way Driver Charged With DWI On Shelter Island: Police
The Florida woman was arrested Sunday, police say.
SHELTER ISLAND, NY — A wrong-way driver was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Shelter Island Sunday, police said.
According to Shelter Island Police, Sarah Jo Hollifield, 45, of Sarasota, FL, was stopped at 1:31 a.m. for driving the wrong way down a one-way street. She was found to be intoxicated, arrested, and charged with DWI, driving the wrong way on a one-way road, and failure to signal, police said.
Hollifield was arraigned at Shelter Island Justice Court and released on her own recognizance, police said.
