2-Hour Delayed Opening for Northport, Elwood Schools Monday
The districts announce the decision after a blizzard strikes the region.

Elwood and Northport Public Schools will open on a 2-hour delay on Monday following a blizzard that dumped more than two feet of snow across Long Island, district officials have announced.
Here’s the message on Elwood district’s website:
Due to the anticipated poor road conditions, the Elwood School District will operate on a two hour delayed opening schedule. All before school activities are cancelled. Students are to be at their bus stops two hours late than their regularly scheduled times.
Here’s the message on Northport district’s website:
On Monday, January 25, 2016, all schools and offices will open on a two-hour delay. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
