3 Northport Students Named National Merit Finalists
Congrats to these three talented students!
From Northport School District: Northport High School seniors Madeleine Kestler-DeWan, Katie Sierra and Nathaniel E. Wang, who were named National Merit Scholarship competition semifinalists this past fall, were recently named finalists in the competition. This esteemed program seeks to honor the nation’s scholastic champions and to encourage the pursuit of excellence in academics.
These three students will each be competing with the top one percent of finalists nationwide for one of the 7,500 National Merit Scholarships. Cumulatively, these scholarships are worth more than $31 million. National Merit Scholarship recipients will be notified between the spring and summer months of 2019.
