'Affectionate And Silly' Serena Is Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Serena, a 9-year-old female, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Cat of the Week.

"Our sweet Serena came to us from a very sad situation," said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "She lost the only home she ever knew on Fire Island and was separated from many of her cat siblings due to there being far too many to keep together."

Many rescue organizations had to help, and the Northport rescue claimed Serena.

"Serena is the most affectionate and silly girl ever," Wild said. "She is very easy going and gets along with other cats too! She is a little butterball full of love and will start purring and asking for pets the minute you meet her!"

Serena is currently at Petco Commack among all the kittens, waiting for someone to notice her.

"Won’t you consider giving this perfect fur baby her happily ever after?" Wild said. "This precious girl has been waiting too long and just needs a chance. We promise you will never regret it."

Serena is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
