Amalfi And Milan Hope To Be Adopted Together: Northport Kitties Of The Week

The affectionate brothers have yet to receive a single adoption application and must go home as a pair.

NORTHPORT, NY — Amalfi and Milan, bonded brothers currently residing at Petco Commack, are this week’s featured kittens from Northport Cat Rescue Association.

Volunteers say the pair spend much of their time curled up together or gazing out their habitat window, quietly watching visitors pass by in hopes that someone will stop to notice them — not just one, but both.

Born April 13, the brothers share a close bond that rescue staff say is immediately visible. Amalfi, the black-and-white kitten, is playful and easygoing, often stretching out in relaxed poses while welcoming attention. Milan, a gray-and-white tabby, is described as calm, soulful, and deeply affectionate, frequently leaning into gentle pets and staying close once he feels comfortable.

Rescue volunteers say the kittens offer “quiet companionship, comfort and unconditional love,” adding that they draw confidence from each other and are happiest side by side. Despite their affectionate personalities, the brothers have not yet received an adoption application and have spent their entire kittenhood in rescue care.

Amalfi and Milan are neutered, fully vaccinated, litter box-trained, microchipped, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. They must be adopted together.
