Arrest Log: Cell Phone Thief, Drunken Driver, King Kullen Shoplifter

Tuesday, Feb. 2

At 5:46 p.m., a 50-year-old Rocky Point woman was arrested for stealing a person’s cellphone at the Northport Public Library on Laurel Avenue. According to police, the woman asked to use the man’s phone and subsequently left the library with the phone still in her possession. She was located on Laurel Avenue without the phone, but authorities found it in the snow a couple blocks away. The larceny was also caught on surveillance camera, police say.

Wednesday, Feb. 3

At 2:47 a.m., Apryl Scavone, 43, of Syosset, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Fort Salonga Road.

At 4:54 p.m., a 41-year-old East Northport man was arrested for shoplifting from King Kullen Supermarket, located on Fort Salonga Road. He was charged with petty larceny.
