'Best Buddies' Little John And Teaspoon Are Northport Pets Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Little John and Teaspoon, "best buddies," are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

Little John is around 6 months old and Teaspoon only around 4 months old.

When Little John’s adoption fell through, he went back to his foster home, according to Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. When he returned, he met his foster family’s new foster, a tiny little boy named Teaspoon.

"Well, everything happens for a reason because they have been inseparable ever since," Wild said. "Teaspoon was nervous when he came into foster care and Little John immediately took him under his wing. Teaspoon is the most affectionate little boy and loves to be carried around like a baby."

Little John is a love bug who will come to you when you call his name and will play all day long until nap time in your lap, according to Wild. His favorite toy is his fluffy raccoon, and he walks around the house with it in his mouth.

"These two play all day long and snuggle all the time and even get along with other cats!" Wild said. "The friendship that has blossomed between them is pure love. They absolutely needed each other and are a very special pair for sure."

They are currently cuddled up together at Petco Huntington, waiting for their forever home. They are neutered, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
