Blood Drive Coming To Northport

Donors must make appointments, as walk-ins will only be accepted if social distancing allows. Here's how to donate.

NORTHPORT, NY — A socially distant blood drive is scheduled to be held in Northport. It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Main Hall, located at 7 Woodside Ave.

Donors will likely need an appointment to give blood, as walk-ins will only be allowed if social distancing guidelines would be met, according to the New York Blood Center. All donors must wear a face covering and will have their temperature checked before they enter the donation area.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-933-2566 or visit the New York Blood Center's donate page. The Northport blood drive will be held in memory of Joseph Mandel.
