If you are one of many homeowner's who is thinking about selling and you have a buried oil tank, you may want to investigate the cost to abandon the buried tank and install a new one above ground!

There are several reasons for this process, one being homeowner's insurance for the new purchaser.  Insurance companies are raising premiums for such properties, if they will even write a policy!  There are only a few remaining who will write a policy for a buried oil tank.  The cost of a policy is also considerably more money if you are lucky enough to be able to obtain this policy.
