Brawny And Sparkle, 'Playful...Loving': Northport Pets Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Brawny and Sparkle, a pair of 4-month-old bonded siblings, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

"These two sweet fur babies have been fostered with love since just a few weeks old," said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue. "Both are so playful, silly, loving and adorable."

Brawny is a total love bug, Wild said, giving lots of head bumps asking for affection.

"He is a very handsome little boy and loves to play hard and then snuggle and relax even more," Wild said.

His sister, Sparkle, has a beautiful face with fine features, Wild said.

"She can be a little timid, but as soon as you pet her, she starts to purr. She loves playing and will walk around with her fluffy toys in her mouth, proud as if she caught them. She will come running for affection when you call her name and is very smart too. They are a special little duo, always keeping you laughing."

They get along with other cats, even trying to be friends with the cranky cat that was in foster care with them, according to Wild. And the two are actually winning him over!

They will be leaving foster care this week and going into the rescue's habitats at Petco Commack.

"We know you will fall in love with them and if you were thinking of welcoming new additions into your family, these are your pair!" Wild said.

They are neutered and spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
