Evenings at Veterans Park - flag football, kickball, gaga ball, capture the flag, and more!

The Multi-Sport Program starts on June 1, 2026

Weeknight Evenings: Mondays (5:40PM-7PM) and Wednesdays (5:10PM-6:30PM)

Projected Dates: Mondays (6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22) and Wednesdays (6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24)

*Coed divisions: Pre-K/K, 1st/2nd Grade, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade

*All Equipment provided (footballs, flag belts, gaga ball, kickballs, etc.)

*Early Summer Multi-Sport registration fee: $148 (8-sessions total)

*Siblings receive a $10 discount

MARCIE PASSLEY is a New York City based singer, actress, piano and voice instructor. She is a member of Actors’ Equity Association (AEA) and the Screen Actor’s Guild &amp; American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Millikin University. Marcie has performed with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players and has been in numerous G&amp;S productions at New York’s City Center and Symphony Space, as well as various touring venues throughout the United States. Broadway credits include concert performances of&nbsp;Brigadoon&nbsp;and&nbsp;Camelot&nbsp;at Broadway’s Schubert Theatre, as well as&nbsp;Something Wonderful&nbsp;at the Broadhurst Theatre. Other credits include the American premiere of&nbsp;Jude&nbsp;(Sue) at Yale University, Stephen Schwartz’s&nbsp;Reluctant Pilgrim&nbsp;(Off-Broadway NYMF), and&nbsp;FLOPZ&nbsp;(Joe’s Pub). Favorite roles include The&nbsp;Music Man&nbsp;(Marion Paroo),&nbsp;The Sound Of Music&nbsp;(Maria), and&nbsp;West Side Story&nbsp;(Maria). Television credits include&nbsp;All My Children&nbsp;and&nbsp;As the World Turns. In addition to her roles in musical theatre, light opera, and television, Marcie sings jazz and Latin standards at events throughout Metropolitan New York.

Jeanne Rimsky Theater - Landmark on Main Street

Huntington Center for Performing Arts, LI Ballet Theatre and The Westchester Sandbox Theater present Shrek, The Musical Jr. Performed by the theater, dance and music students (age 9-17) that study at the Center. The production features additional music from the movie as well as special dance scenes that will add to the fun!
This beloved musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, follows the unlikely hero Shrek and his loyal steed Donkey as they embark on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona. The production showcases memorable songs, vibrant characters, and a heartwarming story about friendship and self-acceptance

Northport Maritime Day &amp; Blessing of the Fleet Set for June 13
Northport, NY — The Northport Maritime Day &amp; Blessing of the Fleet will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Northport Village Park and Dock.
Coordinated by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Northport Flotilla in partnership with the Village of Northport and the Northport Chamber of Commerce, the event celebrates Northport’s maritime past, present, and future with activities on land and water for all ages.

Event Highlights
<ul>
 <li>11:00 a.m. – Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony at Northport Village Dock </li>
 <li>Boat Parade featuring vessels from local yacht clubs and recreational boaters </li>
 <li>Dockside Vessel Tours (12:00 – 2:00 p.m.) including fishing vessels, Coast Guard and maritime response craft </li>
 <li>Maritime Activities &amp; Demonstrations (10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
 in Village Park </li>

Full Day Schedule

 <li>8:00 a.m. – Northport Farmers Market opens </li>
 <li>9:00 a.m. – Northport Running Club Downhill Race </li>
 <li>10:00 a.m. – Maritime Day activities, booths, and exhibits open </li>
 <li>11:00 a.m. – Blessing of the Fleet ceremony </li>
 <li>12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Vessel tours at Village Dock </li>
</ul>

On the Water
More than 100 boats are expected to participate in the parade, including vessels from the Northport and Centerport Yacht Clubs as well as recreational boaters, many decorated with nautical flags.
Planned participants include vessels from:
<ul>
 <li>U.S. Coast Guard Station Eaton’s Neck </li>
 <li>U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary </li>
 <li>U.S. Merchant Marine Academy </li>
 <li>Northport Fire Department </li>
</ul>
Following the Blessing, select vessels will be available at the dock for public viewing.

In the Park
Village Park activities will include demonstrations and hands-on opportunities related to boating safety and seamanship, such as:
<ul>
 <li>Man-overboard drills </li>
 <li>Search and rescue patterns </li>
 <li>Emergency line throwing </li>
</ul>
Additional activities are expected to include:
<ul>
 <li>Children’s events such as the Rain-Gutter Regatta </li>
 <li>Marine-related exhibits and community displays </li>
 <li>Live music from local performers </li>
</ul>
Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program and the Northport Historical Society are expected to participate with educational displays and exhibits.

Following the Blessing of the Fleet, judges will officiate the Maritime Day contest recognizing local breweries.

Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program.
