Car Crashes Into Gas Station, Overturns In East Northport

The driver suffered minor injuries.

A driver was hospitalized after a car crashed into a gas station and overturned in East Northport on Friday afternoon.

According to fire officials, the vehicle crashed into the gas pumps at the Metro Mart Gas Station on Route 25A, east of Laurel Road, at 4:05 p.m.

The driver was able to exit the overturned car and was transported to Huntington Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

About 25 fire and EMS personnel from the East Northport Fire Department responded to the scene with an ambulance, two heavy rescue engines and a paramedic responder. All units were under the command of Assistant Chief Dan Flanagan.

The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Suffolk Police were also on the scene.
