COMMACK, NY — If you are looking to add a new feline friend to your family, you will have plenty of cats to choose from.

The Northport Cat Rescue Association is hosting a "clear the shelter" adoption event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Petco Commack, at 30 Veterans Memorial Highway.

"Your new best friends are waiting for you!" Lora Wild, a volunteer with the shelter, told Patch.
