Celebrate the Arts in Northport at the 57th Art and Music Festival
Northport-East Northport schools will celebrate being recognized as one of the best communities for music education.
The Northport-East Northport School District plans to celebrate being recognized as one of the best communities for music education in 2016.
More than 5,5000 students will show off their talents during an entire day dedicated to the arts in Northport Village at the 57th Art and Music Festival on Sunday, June 5.
This annual community-wide event, held from 12-5 p.m., supports the arts and is a way to promote local artistic talent. The festival is led by Izzet Mergen, the district director of fine and performing arts.

The National Association of Music Merchants Foundation recognized 476 school districts across the United States for offering a well-rounded education that gives students the opportunity to learn and practice music and the arts.
