Earth Day STEM Fair And Challenge Coming To Northport High School

NORTHPORT, NY — The annual Earth Day STEM Fair and STEM Challenge is scheduled for Saturday at Northport High School, the Northport-East Northport School District announced.

This year's event is slated for 9 a.m. to noon.

The STEM fair welcomes students in grades kindergarten through sixth for a fun day of activities and challenges, as well as showcases from various high school STEM programs. Students can engage in an afternoon of fun and learning through activities such as "recycled paper making," "upcycled fashion," and "butterfly and flower chromatography," among others.

Simulatenously, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students who registered for the STEM Challenge will be competing in teams of two to four throughout the building. The STEM-based challenges were designed by the their high school peers to be both challenging and age-appropriate.

Northport High School is at 154 Laurel Hill Road.
