East Northport Boy Scouts Fundraise Over $1K For Local Charity

Troop 5 spent a weekend in October selling popcorn outside an East Northport church.

Boy Scouts of America Troop 5 spent a weekend in October raising $1,114 to benefit an East Northport church by selling popcorn before and after Saturday and Sunday masses.

Churchgoers at Parish Outreach at St. Anthony of Padua Church in East Northport purchased bags of various popcorn flavors, including kettle corn, buffalo cheddar cheese and caramel corn. Other churchgoers made monetary donations to help Troop 5 benefit Parish Outreach.

In total, the troop has donated $17,203 to the charity over the past 14 years.
