East Northport Boy Scouts Make Bird Feeders With Seniors

The natural bird feeders were then hung from trees near the Northport VA Medical Center.

Members of Troop 5 of the Boy Scouts of America recently made natural bird feeders with East Northport senior citizens and then donated the feeders to Northport VA Medical Center.

The Boys from Troop 5 in East Northport visited The Atria, a senior living facility in East Northport, and brought pine cones and peanut butter with them to create natural bird feeders with a group of residents.

The boys and their leaders then donated the bird feeders to the Northport VA Medical center, where the feeders were hung from trees.

This project is among one of their many service projects the boys conduct throughout the year.
