East Northport Eagle Scout Wins Award

John Paul Stevenson is continuing to make big strides as a member of Boy Scout Troop 52 in East Northport.

Stevenson, who earned the rank of Eagle Scout in February, recently earned the Bronze Eagle Palm award for completing an extra five badges above and beyond the 21 required badges for Eagle Scout.

The award is given to those who remain active with their troop after earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

For his Eagle Scout project, Stevenson designed and built picnic tables with attached benches for Pulaski Road Elementary school in East Northport. And he had an Eagle Court of Honor in May.

He currently is an 11th grader at Northport High School.
