EAST NORTHPORT, NY — The Perles family held its 17th annual Halloween Bake Sale fundraiser at its East Northport home on Halloween. The family raised $3,000 for the Northport Food Pantry.

Halle Brenner Perles, who runs the bake sale with her husband, Greg, and their three daughters, Dylan, 23, Zoe, 21 and Kyra, 16, said the family had its "best event ever."

"It was a great moment on Halloween night when we counted the money with our volunteers and realized how much had been raised," Halle Brenner Perles told Patch.

"People in the community were very generous and some even came just to make a donation," Halle said. "In fact, so many people came that we sold out of almost everything for the second year in a row."
