East Northport Sears To Close
The local store will close in the coming months as Sears continues to shed stores nationwide.
Sears is shutting down an additional 20 stores, including the East Northport location, this year, according to a report in Business Insider.
Earlier this year, the company announced that it would be closing 245 stores in 2017. No Long Island stores were set to shut down then.
The East Northport store is located at 4000 Jericho Turnpike.

A total of eight Sears stores will remain on Long Island at the following locations:
- 800 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa
- 34 Carmans Road, Massapequa
- 1111 Franklin Ave., Garden City
- 195 N. Broadway, Hicksville
- 1150 Sunrise Highway - Green Acres, Valley Stream
- 1000-2 Montauk Highway, West Babylon
- 1400 Union Turnpike, New Hyde Park
- Smith Haven Mall, Lake Grove
