ELWOOD, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Elwood School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2023-24 school budget by a margin of 1,278 votes to 508.
The district's budget is $73,077,631, up 5.63 percent from last year's.
For the Elwood Board of Education’s two open seats, currently held by incumbent members Tom Scarola and Sara Siddiqui, Scarola received 1,228 votes, Siddiqui received 1,179 votes, Erin Aebisher received 609 votes and Chris Fox received 458 votes.
