Elwood Board Of Education Recognized By Students And Staff
The high school's Acappelwood vocal ensemble performed, student-athletes created a video, and technology students made Knights flags.

ELWOOD, NY — In honor of School Board Recognition Week, Elwood-John H. Glenn High School’s Acappelwood vocal ensemble, directed by Brittany Wheeler, performed a Bruno Mars song for the Elwood School District Board of Education’s Oct. 12 meeting, the school district announced.
"We thank you for the important work that you do in the best interest of students," Superintendent Kelly Fallon told the board. "It takes strong schools to build a strong community, and the members of our Board of Education devote countless hours to ensure that the schools that are found in the Elwood School District are strong."
John Glenn's student-athletes and coaches worked with Principal Corey McNamara to create an impressive tribute video, while technology teacher Matt McGuire and his students created special Knights flags during class time to give to each of board of education member.

"We sit here because of the students, the hard work within the classrooms and our support staff," Board President James Tomeo said. "The board of education might sit on this dais, but it’s the team that makes what we do so important, and the collaboration that we get to be a part of to bring all these wonderful things to Elwood and our community."
