Elwood Students Chosen for All-County Percussion Ensemble
Students from across Suffolk County auditioned to be a part of this prestigious group of musicians.
The Elwood Union Free School District is pleased to announce that Elwood-John H. Glenn High School juniors Jason Mueller and Sean Wilkinson have recently been selected as members of the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association 2017 All-County High School Percussion Ensemble.
Students from across Suffolk County auditioned to be a part of this prestigious group of musicians. Jason and Sean are two of the top 15 students selected to join the Ensemble. They will rehearse with the All-County Percussion Ensemble in the upcoming weeks leading up to a concert on Feb. 10 at Mount Sinai High School.
"Their percussion skills have skyrocketed over the past 3 years and I am so very proud to be a part of their music education," said band director Vickie Henson. "These are incredible young men who in addition to their musical contributions to our department, make service to others a priority in their daily lives. They are shining examples of the Elwood Community."
