The Northport Arts Coalition, in cooperation with the Library, is pleased to present guitarist Francisco Roldán and percussionist Danny Mallon in a transcontinental musical tour. For centuries, the guitar and percussion instruments such as castanets, maracas, and tambourine have been used together by musicians around the world. Columbian-born guitarist Francisco Roldán has performed in Russia, Argentina, Spain, Columbia, and throughout the United States including Merkin Concert Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Percussionist Danny Mallon has performed and recorded extensively. He is currently on the faculty of the Mannes College of Music. Refreshments will be served following the performance. No registration required.
