The Northport High School Tour Choir will get by with a little help from their friends on April 20 as they accompany Beatles cover band "Mostly Moptop" in a concert to raise money for a summer trip to Europe.
In addition to performing with the Tour Choir on songs such as "Let it Be," "I am the Walrus," and "Strawberry Fields Forever," Mostly Moptop will also perform key songs in the concert with other student musicians who are part of the music department and school community. These student musicians will be working from original charts provided directly by Mostly Moptop member and artistic director of the acclaimed Beatles' Magical Orchestra concerts Paul Michael Barkan.
As their name hints, "Mostly" Moptop have punctuated their set with one non-Beatles song. In dedication to the late Monkees star Davy Jones, they will be joined by student musicians and tour choir members for a memorable performance of "Daydream Believer."

Ticket proceeds from the concert will fund the Tour Choir's trip to Europe this summer where they will sing in the cathedrals of Spain and Portugal. "We want to raise as much as they can for upwards of 60 students to and from Europe," said Mostly Moptop member Anthony Pomes.
