This fair, for students with an interest in attending a Technical Post Secondary College or Technical School, is open to general and special education students, teachers, parents, and guidance counselors. The goal is to provide students with a career exploration experience and to inform them of the alternatives to 2 and 4 year colleges. The participating schools and colleges offer a wide range of certificate and associate degree programs. Students will have the opportunity to speak directly to eight Long Island employers – these presentations are held between 9 am - noon at twenty minute intervals. No reservations are taken for this segment of the fair; it is on a first come first serve basis.
Information obtained at the fair will also help special education students, Committee on Special Education, VESID, and high school guidance counselors in the creation of a student centered IEP and career plan.
