Northport artist Robert Delboy’s oil paintings on canvas panels are alla prima—painted directly on the canvas with no preliminary drawing and in one session. Many were painted en plein aire or outdoors in natural light. Art, design, and illustration have always been a major part of Mr. Delboy’s life. He was Promotion Art Director for Newsday for more than 20 years.
