Fire Department Honors Ex-Chief For 50 Years Of Service
Ex-chief Paul Heglund currently works as the department's Deputy Chief Chaplain.

CENTERPORT, NY- The Centerport Fire Department recently recognized Ex-Chief Paul Heglund for his 50 years of active and dedicated service.
Heglund served as Chief of the Department from 1996 to 1997.
Before that he worked as an EMT and Centerport Rescue Squad member for nearly 30 years.

Currently, he is the Deputy Chief Chaplain.
Heglund received awards from the Town of Huntington Fire Chiefs’ Council, Fireman's Association of the State of NY, Governor Andrew Cuomo and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone recognizing his 50 years of service.
