Greenlawn Man Possessed Marijuana-Infused Gummy Bears: Police
The 23-year-old was arrested Wednesday night, police say.
A Greenlawn man was found to be in possession of “gummy bear” type candy infused with marijuana resin following a traffic stop on the Sunken Meadow Parkway on Wednesday night, police say.
A trooper issued a traffic stop for a black Honda Civic that had a headlight out on the Sunken Meadow Parkway near Pulaski road at 11:10 p.m. and subsequently discovered the driver was in possession of three large zip lock bags that contained 17 ounces of the candy-infused substances, police say.
Robert Amabile, 23, was arrested and charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class C felony, and traffic violations.

Amabile was held for morning arraignment at Suffolk County District Court.
