  • They have the best Italian bread, I fill up my suitcase and bring it back to Myrtle Beach with me every time I am on Long Island.
  • Very sorry to see King Kullen close. Been going there well over 20 years. Good luck to the people losing their jobs.
  • Hooray! KK was handy but Giunta’s will be a nice option.
  • I love King Kullen. I worked in that store for almost 9 years in Astoria till they moved to Long Island. Broke my heart when they left.

This Northport location will be Giunta’s ninth Long Island store. There are stores in Commack, Hauppague, Farmingdale, Lake Ronkonkoma, Medford, Port Jefferson, Bohemia and Holbrook.

This grocery store offers “the freshest items in produce, meat and deli to over 7 million Long Islanders,” according to its website.

King Kullen will officially close its doors on Monday, Feb. 11 after being open for 30 years, according to Newsday.
