'Incredible Pair' Carly And Curly: Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week
Carly and Curly, bonded 9-month-old siblings, are "sweet, loving, affectionate, silly and calm and beautiful." Want to meet them?

NORTHPORT, NY — Curly and Carly, bonded 9-month-old siblings, are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.
They are an "incredible pair of lovebugs" who have been waiting all their lives to find a forever home, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the rescue.
"We don’t know why it is taking so long for these two to be noticed," Wild said. "They are sweet, loving, affectionate, silly and calm and beautiful."

They were fostered with young children and even dogs, according to Wild. They get along with other cats, too.
"When our volunteers show up at Petco Commack where they have been for so long, Curly can not wait to jump out and play," Wild said. "Carly usually sits at the edge of her habitat watching all the antics of the other cats."

Occasionally, Carly will venture out and relax on the small couch in the room.
"Sadly, we do think she may be getting depressed, and losing hope," Wild said. "The habitats have become their reality. We can not wait for them to be adopted, so they see how much love and freedom life has in store for them."
The rescue said it recognizes that trying to adopt a pair can be more difficult financially and doesn't want cost to be the reason two cats are not adopted together, so it is giving a 25% discounted adoption fee for Carly and Curly to be adopted together.
"They are so close, and Curly looks after his sister and brings her comfort," Wild said. "They have been by each other’s side for 9 months; from the day they were rescued from outside. They need each other, and they need a family. Curly gives it his all to get him and his sister noticed, usually placing his paw on the window of their habitat when visitors come. They are now 9 months old, and may not be tiny babies, but nonetheless, they are still babies. We hate when they spend their kittenhood growing up in a cage, but as a rescue we know that typically, those that wait the longest find the best homes. Maybe it’s just a gift the universe gives them for being so patient. Won’t you please consider this amazing pair?"

The pair is currently cuddled up together at Petco Commack, waiting for their forever home.
They are neutered or spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
