John H. Glenn Girl's Tennis Defeats Northport to Claim League Championship Title

The team claimed the title for the first time in school history.

The John H. Glenn High School girl’s varsity tennis team made school history when they defeated Northport on Monday to claim the League II Champions title.

“The girls are so excited to be a part of history,” said Girls Varsity Tennis Coach Frank Schiraldi. “They have worked so hard for many years to finally be called league champs. I am so proud of them.”

The Knights were named 2015 league champs after defeating the Tigers 5.5-1.5.
