Kickin' on Fields of Pink: Northport Cow Harbor Columbus Weekend Tourney

The event raises money through the sale of pink socks and donations for the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.

The 26th Northport Cow Harbor Columbus Weekend Tournament, also known as “Kickin’ on Fields of Pink,” is set for On Oct 11-12.

The tournament raises money through the sale of pink socks and donations for the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.

With cooperation from the Town of Huntington, the tournament helps to teach children to make a difference as the young athletes support the cause by buying and wearing the pink socks, and using an event as a conduit for philanthropic endeavors.

The event includes a ribbon cutting ceremony with town officials. And professional soccer players from the Cosmos, Cosmos Street team and Cosmo Girls will be on hand for interviews signing autographs, taking photos and raffling off jerseys.

“Seeing the children paying it forward and getting involved is truly a humbling experience. Northport Cow Harbor Soccer Club raised over $33,000.00 last year from this tournament,” said Billy Baldwin, Carol Baldwin’s son. “I’m sure it will be larger this year with the growth of this tournament. We have a great partnership.”
