'Kittens Galore' Are Northport Pets Of The Week

NORTHPORT, NY — Meet three pairs of 4-month-old bonded kittens, as well as Checker. They are the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Kittens of the Week.

Taffy has all grey Russian blue like fur and is bonded to her brother, Jerry, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the cat rescue. Taffy loves to play and even loves to run around with the dog in her foster home. Jerry also loves to play and is a total mush and lap-kitten.

Their siblings, little girl Hallie and her brother, Ben, are a bonded pair, and are very playful and extremely affectionate, according to Wild. All of the siblings get along with other cats and dogs too.

"They are truly an amazing bunch," Wild said.

Brothers Cheddar and Chuck and their sister, Checkers, were rescued from a neighborhood in Bayside, Queens, where a man named Chuck was feeding them and trying his best to keep them safe, Wild said.

"They came into rescue as babies and are a very sweet and special bunch. All love to play, love to cuddle and make the best biscuits ever," she said.

Cheddar and Chuck are very bonded, while sister Checkers is more independent but a little sweetheart.

"All of these beautiful kittens will be at Northport Harbor Family Night, this Tuesday July 18 from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. Come on down and meet them, we are sure you will fall in love!"

They are all neutered or spayed, have all their shots, are litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
